SEMESTER 2
|
INTERNET AND WEB DESIGN
The goal of this course is to present overview of the internet
as a global resource for the people. The course has been designed
to provide knowledge on series of internet related activities.
Students will understand the basic knowledge for design of
the web page/ site
The student
will be able to:
Effectively
use the internet for both information transfer and retrieval
and data transfer.
Understand the client server relationship.
Understand
the domain name concept and services, internet addressing
and URL's.
Design
a Simple web page using Hyper Text Markup Language.
PROGRAMMING AND PROBLEM SOLVING THROUGH
'C'
The objective of this course is to make students understand
programming languages, programming, concepts of loops, reading
a set of data, stepwise refinement, Functions, Control Structure,
Arrays etc. After completion of this course student is expected
to analyze the real life problem and write a program in 'C'
language to solve the problem. The main emphasis of the course
is on problem solving aspect i.e. developing proper algorithms.
In short this module covers
Overview of Programming
This module takes you through in-depth knowledge of 'C'. The
students are exposed to problem definition, programs and algorithms,
construction of loop-basic programming construct, programming
environment and programming language classification that is,
machine languages, assembly language and high level languages.
Fundamental of
'C' Programming
This module covers overview of 'C'. In this students explore
the history of 'C', data-types, constants and variables, operators
and expressions, control constructs, arrays, function fundamental,
basic I/O and advanced features.
Advanced Programming
Techniques
This module covers control constructs scope rules, functions,
recursion, basic concepts and design examples.
Dynamic Data Structure in 'C'
This module aims at giving in-depth knowledge of pointers,
structures, unions and linked list insertions.
Miscellaneous
Features
This module covers in-depth knowledge of file handling, standard
library, header files and C preprocessor.
OR
PROGRAMMING THROUGH VISUAL BASIC
The objective of this course is to enable the student to acquire
good programming and design skills using comprehensive language
with GUI tools, Object Oriented Programming, Event-Driven
Programming tools. The students are expected to learn Basic
Environments, Creation of Graphics, Creation of small Applications
and simple projects.
The syllabus
will focus on :
Solving
problems using GUI tools
