| INTRODUCTION |
The DOEACC Society, an autonomous body of Department Of Information
Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology
, Government of India, is implementing the DOEACC Scheme which
is an All India Council for Technical Education and Department
of Electronics (AICTE-DOE) Scheme. The Society was formed on
the 9th November 1994 and is registered under the Societies
Registration Act, 1860. The Secretary, MIT is ex-officio, the
President of the Society. The management and administration
of the Society is overseen by a Governing Council. |
| REGISTRATION |
Registration is mandatory for students to appear
for the DOEACC examination. At a point of time, a student can
be registered at only one Level. For getting registered with
the DOEACC Society, a student has to apply in a prescribed format
with a fee. The number of registrants with the Society are more
than 3 lakhs. |
| EXAMINATIONS |
Examinations are conducted twice a year in January and July
for 'O'/'A'/'B'/'C' level on All India basis in about 106 centers.
The total number of papers, for all the Levels, to be set for
the examination is 77. The examinations are managed by a Board
of Examinations consisting of academia and professionals.

| SYLLABUS |
Syllabus for different Levels are designed and finalized by
a syllabus Committee for each Level, consisting of academicians
and professionals in the computer field including representatives
from the IT industry. Syllabi are updated at reasonable intervals
to meet the requirements of industry. The revised syllabi (3rd
revised syllabus) for 'O' and 'A' level has been made effective
from July, 2003 examination. |

| DOEACC COURSES |
| acs is approved by DOEACC (Department
of Information Technology, Govt. of India) for conducting 'A'
and 'O' Level Computer courses making it one of the few institutes
in India to be granted this privilege. |
